RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Artemisia argyi Folium (AAF) is a traditional medicinal herb and edible plant. Analyzing the differential metabolites that affect the efficacy of AAF with different aging years is necessary. OBJECTIVE: The aim of the study was to investigate the changing trend and differential markers of volatile and nonvolatile metabolites of AAF from different aging years, which are necessary for application in clinical medicine. METHODOLOGY: Metabolites were analyzed using a widely targeted metabolomic approach based on ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) and gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS). RESULTS: A total of 153 volatile metabolites and 159 nonvolatile metabolites were identified. Principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) could clearly distinguish AAF aged for 1 year (AF-1), 3 years (AF-3), and 5 years (AF-5). Seven flavonoids and nine terpenoids were identified as biomarkers for tracking the aging years. CONCLUSIONS: The metabolomic method provided an effective strategy for tracking and identifying biomarkers of AAF from different aging years. This study laid the foundation for analysis of the biological activity of Artemisia argyi with different aging years.

RESUMO

The aim of this survey was to evaluate the residue levels, distribution and exposure risk of the 38 most commonly used pesticides in rapeseed samples collected from the main production areas in China over a two-year period. The sampling area covered 12 provinces, including Guizhou, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu provinces. The pesticide residues were determined using a QuEChERS (Quick Easy Cheap Effective Rugged and Safe) method coupled with gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. 8.4% of the rapeseed samples contained pesticides with a residue level ranging from 0.001 to 0.634 mg/kg. The detected analytes were imidacloprid, quizalofop-P-ethyl, thiamethoxam, paclobutrazol, prochloraz, tebuconazole, difenoconazole, s-metolachlor, carbofuran, and carbendazim. The concentrations of four analytes, including thiamethoxam, difenoconazole, carbendazim and prochloraz, exceeded the maximum residue level set by the Chinese government for rapeseed, with exceedance rates of 0.1%, 0.1%, 0.1%, and 1.1%, respectively. Based on the index of quality for residues (IqR) values, 91.6% of the total rapeseed samples had an IqR category of Excellent (IqR = 0). Only 1.5% of the tested samples were of inadequate quality. Furthermore, the assessment of chronic and acute exposure, as well as health risks associated with pesticide residues in rapeseed, was conducted for different age groups within the Chinese population, including adults (6-14 years), children (15-49 years), and the elderly (50-74 years). The results of this assessment indicated that pesticide residues in rapeseed cultivated in China are not expected to be of short- or long-term risks to the Chinese customers.

RESUMO

High-efficiency air filters are in high demand to protect human health from the threat of ultrafine particulate matters (PM). However, most commercial air filters are less effective for PM0.3 capture and/or still suffer from undesirable pressure drops. They are also typically petroleum-based. Herein, a double-jet synchronous electrospinning technology was demonstrated to fabricate spider-web-like polylactic acid (PLA) nanofibrous membranes (SPNM) in one step. The properties of spinning solutions were regulated to construct favorable multi-scale nanofiber and bead structures that mimicked the structural units in spider-webs. The as-prepared SPNM exhibited excellent filtration efficiency (99.87 %) and high quality factor (0.321 Pa-1) against the PM0.3, while presenting an attractively low pressure drop (19 Pa). Additionally, the filtration performance of SPNM was almost completely preserved during 10-cycle tests and the 6-month long-term tests, showing excellent function stability and durability. Benefiting from its good hydrophobicity (WCA = 143.2°), SPNM also presented a satisfactory filtration efficiency (>99.37 %) with low pressure drop (18 Pa) at an environment with humidity at 90 % against PM0.3. Furthermore, the unique structure increased the mechanical strength of SPNM, facilitating the processability for practical applications. Overall, this work may shed light on a promising approach for developing biomass-based, highly efficient filtration materials with hierarchical structures.

RESUMO

In this study, a validated quality evaluation method with peony flower fingerprint chromatogram combined with simultaneous determination of sixteen bioactive constituents was established using UPLC-DAD-MS/MS. The results demonstrated that the method was stable, reliable, and accurate. The UPLC chemical fingerprints of 12 different varieties of peonies were established and comprehensively evaluated by similarity evaluation (SE), hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA), principal component analysis (PCA), and quantification analysis. The results of SE indicated that similar chemical components were present in these samples regardless of variety, but there were significant differences in the content of chemical components and material basis characteristics. The results of HCA and PCA showed that 12 varieties of samples were divided into two groups. Four flavonoids (11, 12, 13, and 16), five monoterpenes and their glycosides (3, 4, 6, 14, and 15), three tannins (7, 9, and 10), three phenolic acids (1, 2, and 5), and one aromatic acid (8) were identified from sixteen common peaks by standards and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). The simultaneous quantification of six types of components was conducted with the 12 samples, it was found that the sum contents of analytes varied obviously for peony flower samples from different varieties. The content of flavonoids, tannins, and monoterpenes (≥19.34 mg/g) was the highest, accounting for more than 78.45% of the total compounds. The results showed that the flavonoids, tannins, and monoterpenes were considered to be the key indexes in the classification and quality assessment of peony flower. The UPLC-DAD-MS/MS method coupled with multiple compounds determination and fingerprint analysis can be effectively applied as a feature distinguishing method to evaluate the compounds in peony flower raw material for product quality assurance in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. Moreover, this study provides ideas for future research and the improvement of products by these industries.

RESUMO

Litsea cubeba (Lour.) Pers. is an important woody spice tree in southern China, and its fruit is a rich source of valuable essential oil. We surveyed and sampled L. cubeba germplasm resources from 36 provenances in nine Chinese provinces, and detected rich phenotypic diversity. The survey results showed that plants of SC-KJ, SC-HJ, and SC-LS provenance presented higher leaf area (LA); YN-SM and YN-XC plants had larger thousand-grain fresh weight (TFW); and HN-DX plants had the highest essential oil content (EOC). To explain the large differences in the phenotypes of L. cubeba among different habitats, we used Pearson's correlation analysis, multiple stepwise regression path analysis, and redundancy analysis to evaluate the phenotypic diversity of L. cubeba. It was found that compared to other traits, leaf and fruit traits had more significant geographical distributions, and that leaf phenotypes were correlated to fruit phenotypes. The results showed that elevation, latitude, longitude, total soil porosity (SP), soil bulk density (SBD), and average annual rainfall (AAR, mm) contributed significantly to the phenotypic diversity of L. cubeba. Geographical factors explained a higher percentage of variation in phenotypic diversity than did soil factors and climate factors. Plants of SC-KJ and HN-DX provenances could be important resources for domestication and breeding to develop new high-yielding varieties of this woody aromatic plant. This study describes significant phenotypic differences in L. cubeba related to adaptation to different environments, and provides a theoretical basis for the development of a breeding strategy and for optimizing L. cubeba cultivation.

RESUMO

Cardiac substructure segmentation is a prerequisite for cardiac diagnosis and treatment, providing a basis for accurate calculation, modeling, and analysis of the entire cardiac structure. CT (computed tomography) imaging can be used for a noninvasive qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the cardiac anatomy and function. Cardiac substructures have diverse grayscales, fuzzy boundaries, irregular shapes, and variable locations. We designed a deep learning-based framework to improve the accuracy of the automatic segmentation of cardiac substructures. This framework integrates cardiac anatomical knowledge; it uses prior knowledge of the location, shape, and scale of cardiac substructures and separately processes the structures of different scales. Through two successive segmentation steps with a coarse-to-fine cascaded network, the more easily segmented substructures were coarsely segmented first; then, the more difficult substructures were finely segmented. The coarse segmentation result was used as prior information and combined with the original image as the input for the model. Anatomical knowledge of the large-scale substructures was embedded into the fine segmentation network to guide and train the small-scale substructures, achieving efficient and accurate segmentation of ten cardiac substructures. Sixty cardiac CT images and ten substructures manually delineated by experienced radiologists were retrospectively collected; the model was evaluated using the DSC (Dice similarity coefficient), Recall, Precision, and the Hausdorff distance. Compared with current mainstream segmentation models, our approach demonstrated significantly higher segmentation accuracy, with accurate segmentation of ten substructures of different shapes and sizes, indicating that the segmentation framework fused with prior anatomical knowledge has superior segmentation performance and can better segment small targets in multi-target segmentation tasks.

RESUMO

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble micronutrient that is essential for human health. In this study, the daily vitamin A intake of Chinese residents was evaluated by investigating the vitamin A content of various foods. The results show that the dietary intake of vitamin A in common foods was 460.56 ugRAE/day, which is significantly lower than the recommended dietary reference intake of vitamin A (800 ugRAE/day for adult men and 700 ugRAE/day for adult women). Vegetables contributed the most to daily vitamin A dietary intake, accounting for 54.94% of vitamin A intake (253.03 ugRAE/day), followed by eggs, milk, aquatic products, meat, fruit, legumes, coarse cereals, and potatoes. Therefore, an increase in the vitamin A content of vegetables and the fortification of vegetable oils with vitamin A are effective ways to increase vitamin A intake to meet the recommended dietary guidelines in China. The assessment results support the design of fortified foods.

RESUMO

Sesame oil has a unique flavor and is very popular in Asian countries, and this leads to frequent adulteration. In this study, comprehensive adulteration detection of sesame oil based on characteristic markers was developed. Initially, sixteen fatty acids, eight phytosterols, and four tocopherols were utilized to construct an adulteration detection model, which screened seven potentially adulterated samples. Subsequently, confirmatory conclusions were drawn based on the characteristic markers. Adulteration with rapeseed oil in 4 samples was confirmed using the characteristic marker of brassicasterol. The adulteration of soybean oil in 1 sample was confirmed using the isoflavone. The adulteration of 2 samples with cottonseed oil was demonstrated by sterculic acid and malvalic acid. The results showed that sesame oil adulteration could be detected by screening positive samples using chemometrics and verifying with characteristic markers. The comprehensive adulteration detection method could provide a system approach for market supervision of edible oils.

RESUMO

Micro-optical gyroscopes (MOGs) place a range of components of the fiber-optic gyroscope (FOG) onto a silicon substrate, enabling miniaturization, low cost, and batch processing. MOGs require high-precision waveguide trenches fabricated on silicon instead of the ultra-long interference ring of conventional F OGs. In our study, the Bosch process, pseudo-Bosch process, and cryogenic etching process were investigated to fabricate silicon deep trenches with vertical and smooth sidewalls. Different process parameters and mask layer materials were explored for their effect on etching. The effect of charges in the Al mask layer was found to cause undercut below the mask, which can be suppressed by selecting proper mask materials such as SiO2. Finally, ultra-long spiral trenches with a depth of 18.1 µm, a verticality of 89.23°, and an average roughness of trench sidewalls less than 3 nm were obtained using a cryogenic process at -100 °C.

RESUMO

Developing functional dressings for promoting cellular activities and monitoring the healing progress is receiving increasingly widespread attention. In this study, Ag/Zn electrodes were deposited on the surface of a polylactic acid (PLA) nanofibrous membrane which can mimic the extracellular matrix. When wetted by wound exudate, the Ag/Zn electrodes could generate an electric stimulation (ES), promoting the migration of fibroblasts that heal wounds. Moreover, the Ag/Zn@PLA dressing showed excellent antibacterial activity against E. coli (95%) and S. aureus (97%). The study found that the electrostatic (ES) effect and the release of metal ions mainly contribute to the wound healing properties of Ag/Zn@PLA. In vivo mouse models demonstrated that Ag/Zn@PLA could promote wound healing by improving re-epithelialization, collagen deposition, and neovascularization. Additionally, the integrated sensor within the Ag/Zn@PLA dressing can monitor the wound site's temperature in real-time, providing timely information on wound inflammatory reactions. Overall, this work suggests that combining electroactive therapy and wound temperature monitoring may provide a new strategy for designing functional wound dressings.

RESUMO

Objectives: We investigated the protective effect of Rehmannia glutinosa oligosaccharides (RGO) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced intestinal inflammation and barrier injury among mice. Methods: RGO is prepared from fresh rehmannia glutinosa by water extraction, active carbon decolorization, ion exchange resin impurity removal, macroporous adsorption resin purification, and decompression drying. LPS could establish the model for intestinal inflammation and barrier injury in mice. Three different doses of RGO were administered for three consecutive weeks. Then the weight, feces, and health status of the mice were recorded. After sacrificing the mice, their colon length and immune organ index were determined. The morphological changes of the ileum and colon were observed using Hematoxylin-eosin (H&E) staining, followed by measuring the villus length and recess depth. RT-qPCR was utilized to detect the relative mRNA expression of intestinal zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1) and occludin. The expression of inflammatory factors and oxidation markers within ileum and colon tissues and the digestive enzyme activities in the ileum contents were detected using ELISA. The content of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) in the colon was determined with GC. The gut microbial composition and diversity changes were determined with 16S-rRNA high-throughput sequencing. The association between intestinal microorganisms and SCFAs, occludins, digestive enzymes, inflammatory factor contents, and antioxidant indexes was also analyzed. Results: RGO significantly increased the weight, pancreatic index, thymus index, and colon length of mice compared with the model group. Moreover, it also improved the intestinal tissue structure and increased the expression of intestinal barrier-related junction proteins ZO-1 and Occludin. The contents of IL-6, IL-17, IL-1ß, and TNF-α in the intestinal tissues of mice were significantly reduced. Additionally, the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and catalase (CAT) were elevated. In contrast, the malondialdehyde (MDA) content decreased. Trypsin and pancreatic lipase activities in the ileum enhanced, and the SCFA contents such as acetic acid, propionic acid, and butyric acid in the colon increased. The study on intestinal flora revealed that RGO could enhance the abundance of intestinal flora and improve the flora structure. After RGO intervention, the relative abundance of Firmicutes, Lactobacillus, and Akkermania bacteria in the intestinal tract of mice increased compared with the model group, while that of Actinomycetes decreased. The intestinal microbiota structure changed to the case, with probiotics playing a dominant role. The correlation analysis indicated that Lactobacillus and Ackermann bacteria in the intestinal tract of mice were positively associated with SCFAs, Occludin, ZO-1, pancreatic amylase, SOD, and CAT activities. Moreover, they were negatively correlated with inflammatory factors IL-6, IL-17, IL-1ß, and TNF-α. Conclusions: RGO can decrease LPS-induced intestinal inflammation and intestinal barrier injury in mice and protect their intestinal function. RGO can ameliorate intestinal inflammation and maintain the intestinal barrier by regulating intestinal flora.

RESUMO

Camelina [Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz] seed has long been consumed as a source of food in Canada. But limited information is available concerning the systematical evaluation of the composition, content, and antioxidant activity of Camelina seed polyphenol extract (CSPE). Therefore, the aim of this study was to identify, quantify and evaluate the antioxidant activity of CSPE. The result showed that eight compositions were identified and determined by the UPLC-DAD-ESI-MS2 analysis. CSPE has potent free radical scavenging capacity. CSPE treatment significantly increased the activities of the antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase and catalase) and glutathione content in a dose-dependent manner in RAW264.7 cells with oxidative injury and also reduced malondialdehyde content (P < 0.01). It may be concluded that CSPE has a strong antioxidant activity as depicted by the in vitro experiments and thus possesses the potential to be developed as food antioxidants or as an ingredient in functional foods.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: The wild tetraploid sesame (Sesamum schinzianum), an ancestral relative of diploid cultivated sesame, grows in the tropical desert of the African Plateau. As a valuable seed resource, wild sesame has several advantageous traits, such as strong environmental adaptability and an extremely high content of sesamolin in its seeds. High-quality genome assembly is essential for a detailed understanding of genome structure, genome evolution and crop improvement. OBJECTIVES: Here, we generated two high-quality chromosome-scale genomes from S. schinzianum and a cultivated diploid elite sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) to investigate the potential genetic basis underlying these traits of wild sesame. METHODS: The long-read data from PacBio Sequel II platform and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture (Hi-C) data were used to construct high-quality sesame genome. Then dissecting the molecular mechanisms of sesame evolution and lignan biosynthesis through comparative genomics and transcriptomics. RESULTS: We found evidence of divergent evolution that involved differences in the number, sequence and expression level of homologous genes between the two sets of subgenomes from allotetraploids in S. schinzianum, all of which might be driven by subfunctionalization after polyploidization. Furthermore, it was found that a great number of genes involved in the stress response have undergone positive selection and resulted from gene family expansion in the wild sesame genome compared with the cultivated sesame genome, which, overall, is associated with adaptative evolution to the environment. We hypothesized that the sole functional member CYP92B14 (SscC22g35272) could be associated with high content of sesamolin in wild sesame seeds. CONCLUSION: This study provides high-quality wild allotetraploid sesame and cultivated sesame genomes, reveals evolutionary features of the allotetraploid genome and provides novel insights into lignan synthesis pathways. Meanwhile, the wild sesame genome will be an important resource to conduct comparative genomic and evolutionary studies and plant improvement programmes.

RESUMO

Multiple adulteration is a common trick to mask adulteration detection methods. In this study, the representative multiple adulterated camellia oils were prepared according to the mixture design. Then, these representative oils were employed to build two-class classification models and validate one-class classification model combined with fatty acid profiles. The cross-validation results indicated that the recursive SVM model possessed higher classification accuracy (97.9%) than PLS-DA. In OCPLS model, the optimal percentage of RO, SO, CO and SUO was 2.8%, 0%, 7.2%, 0% respectively in adulterated camellia oil, which is the most similar to the authentic camellia oils. Further validation showed that five adulterated oils with the optimal percentage could be correctly identified, indicating that the OCPLS model could identify multiple adulterated oils with these four cheaper oils. Moreover, this study serves as a reference for one class classification model evaluation and a solution for multiple adulteration detection of other foods.

RESUMO

In this study, spherical α-Fe2O3 prepared by the hydrothermal method was used as a template for the first time; LaFeO3 perovskite catalysts were successfully synthesized by the molten salt method (M-LF-T), sol-gel method (S-LF-T), and co-precipitation method (C-LF-T), respectively. To determine the optimal synthesis method, X-ray diffraction patterns were obtained and showed that single phase LaFeO3 with good crystallinity was prepared by the molten salt method after calcination at 600 °C for 4 h. SEM and TEM images showed that the M-LF-600 catalyst preserved the spherical structure of α-Fe2O3 template. Compared with the catalysts synthesized by the sol-gel method and co-precipitation method, the M-LF-600 catalyst had the highest BET surface area of 16.73 m2 g-1. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis showed that the M-LF-600 catalyst had the highest surface Fe3+/Fe2+ molar ratio and the best surface oxygen adsorption capacity. The CO oxidation of the LaFeO3 catalyst demonstrated that the M-LF-600 catalyst had the best catalytic performance.

RESUMO

In this study, an analytical method based on the modified QuEChERS and gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometry was proposed to determine 15 phthalic acid esters in edible oils including dimethyl phthalate, diethyl phthalate, diisobutyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, bis(4-methyl-2-pentyl) phthalate, bis(2-ethoxyethyl) phthalate, dipentyl phthalate, dihexyl phthalate, benzyl butyl phthalate, bis(2-n-butoxyethyl) phthalate, dicyclohexyl phthalate, di-n-heptyl phthalate, diphenyl phthalate, di-n-octyl phthalate, and dinonyl phthalate. Calibration curves with good correlation coefficients (R > 0.990) were obtained in the range of 4-2000 µg kg-1. The LODs and LOQs were from 0.02 to 8.00 µg kg-1 and from 0.07 to 26.68 µg kg-1, respectively, which were significantly lower than the previous studies. Moreover, good recoveries varied from 70.11 % to 115.33 %, while repeatability ranged from 3.97 % to 11.55 %. The results showed that DBP, DIBP, and DEHP were detected in edible oils. The foregoing findings suggested that the proposed approach might be used to detect phthalic acid esters in edible oils.

RESUMO

Whether assisted hatching (AH) is associated with a higher incidence of monozygotic twinning (MZT) in women undergoing assisted reproductive technology remains controversial; the aim of the study was to demonstrate the relationship between AH and MZT. A total of 8900 clinical pregnancies were selected among embryo transfer cycles from January 2011 to October 2019. Women receiving day (D) 3 embryos were divided into groups A-C: group A (n = 1651) and group B (n = 1045) included women aged ≤37 or ≥38 years, respectively, with zona pellucida (ZP) thinning; group C (n = 3865) included women aged ≤37 years without AH. Women aged ≤37 years who underwent blastocyst transfer and/or blastocyst ZP breaching were included in group D (n = 2339). The incidence of MZT was compared among groups A, B and C, and between groups C and D. The incidence of MZT in group B (2.2%) was significantly higher than in group A (1.0%), especially following intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), while the incidence of MZT in group A (1.0%) was significantly lower than in group C (2.2%). The MZT rate with in vitro fertilization was higher in group D (2.8%) than in group C (2.2%), but the MZT rate following ICSI was not significantly different between the two groups. ZP thinning of D3 embryos may increase the risk of MZT in older women (≥38 years), but decrease it in younger women (≤37 years). ZP breaching may be useful to reduce the incidence of MZT in ICSI-generated blastocysts.

RESUMO

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is one of the most common types of cancers in South China and Southeast Asia. Clinical data has shown that early detection is essential for improving treatment effectiveness and survival rate. Unfortunately, because the early symptoms of NPC are rather minor and similar to that of diseases such as Chronic Rhinosinusitis (CRS), early detection is a challenge. This paper proposes using machine learning methods to detect NPC using routine medical test data, namely Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Artificial Neural Network (ANN), k-Nearest-Neighbor (KNN) and Logistic Regression (LR). We collected a dataset containing 523 newly diagnosed NPC patients before treatment, 501 newly diagnosed CRS patients before treatment as well as 600 healthy controls. The routine medical test data including age, gender, blood test features, liver function test features, and urine sediment test features. For comparison, we also used data from Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) antibody tests, which is a specialized test not included among routine medical tests. In our first test, all four methods were tested on classifying NPC vs CRS vs controls; RF gives the best overall performance. Using only routine medical test data, it gives an accuracy of 83.1%, outperforming LR by 12%. In our second test, using only routine medical test data, when classifying NPC vs non-NPC (i.e. CRS or controls), RF achieves an accuracy of 88.2%. In our third test, when classifying NPC vs. controls, RF using only routine test data achieves an accuracy significantly better than RF using only EBV antibody data. Finally, in our last test, RF trained with NPC vs controls, using routine test data only, continued to perform well on an entirely separate dataset. This is a promising result because preliminary NPC detection using routine medical data is easy and inexpensive to implement. We believe this approach will play an important role in the detection and treatment of NPC in the future.

RESUMO

Backgrounds: There were conflicting results on the comparison of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels between poststroke depression (PSD) patients and stroke patients without PSD among previous studies. Thus, we conducted this systemic review and meta-analysis to explore the alteration of serum BDNF levels in PSD. Methods: This study included articles from the Web of Science and PubMed databases that were published before December 2021. STATA 12.0 software was used to compute the standardized mean difference (SMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI) regarding the comparison of serum BDNF in PSD and stroke patients without PSD. Results: We collected the mean value and standard deviation (SD) of serum BDNF in PSD and stroke patients without PSD from six studies (PSD: n = 268, stroke patients without PSD: n = 425). The present meta-analysis showed decreased serum BDNF level in patients with PSD, compared to stroke patients without PSD with a random-effects model (mean value of BDNF level [PSD vs. stroke patients without PSD]: 14.106 vs. 17.995 ng/ml; SMD = -1.578; 95% CI: -2.820, -0.337; I 2 = 97.8%, p-value for Q test < 0.001). Conclusion: Brain-derived neurotrophic factor may work as a potential biomarker to predict the risk of PSD among stroke survivors. More large-sample clinical trials exploring the alteration of serum BDNF levels in PSD among stroke patients need to be conducted to verify this result.
